Me?

My name is Sara (He/She/We), and I am a Widda. 

My indigeneity is global. From Turtle Island by way of both family and raising, to a Sudanese grandmother who crossed the Middle Passage and escaped pregnant with her master's child, to Irish Celtic escaping potato famine, the stories from my childhood told me these tales and taught me the United States Experience through my grandparents eyes before I ever was a part of it. And time and research has taught me that my ancestry is every corner, country, space, and people. My quest for knowledge still teaches me their stories.  And, sometimes changes or adds to the story of me.

My parents always sought to move further from society and closer to the Earth, deeper in the the forests of the PNW. I didn't spend time in US Society until the age of about 12. That is outside of the forced times in school that I abhorred, seeing as the things taught were often different then I knew. 5 year old me standing up in kindergarten angry about the "Hero Columbus" when I already knew the butcher he'd been is indeliably printed on in my memory and personality. That was in the early 80's, and my experience with Western Academia through two degrees (Medicine and Anthropology) has only changed in the fact that now; my teachers often agree and are not threatened by this unwhitewashed truth.  

That is not my first memory, which is sitting in a group of other young children and some parents. We were listening to an Elder speak and my memories held close the conversation of the 7th generation, the rainbow generation made up of the 4 quarters of the earth, who would live when beattles crossed the land with people inside them on little roads, and how one should walk to walk the red road. I think I was 2 and a half or 3. 

My first knowledge coming from Elders, then from voices of lived experiance, then from papers and science, I do not believe knowledge should be kept behind 40k a year paywalls and then gatekept with language that even those with extensive vocabularies and degrees have to look up words.

With a focus on Paleoanthropology and the start of Violence and end of Animism, a Blunt tongue, Anti Racism at the forefront of my intent, and an often time fumbly use of advanced technology, I invite you to hear me as I show you how YOU are Innately; 

Nurturing, Communal, and Curious.  Thes are the biological foundations of the h. Sapiens species.

The idea of innate evil/struggle is 10kya and designed to keep you under the control of narcissistic hoarders.
